About Me.
Coming from a lower socio-economic background, I understand the challenges of navigating social and structural barriers firsthand. From a young age, I was drawn to social issues and became actively involved in community initiatives. At 13, I served as a Youth Officer for a Political Party, sparking a lifelong commitment to public service. By 16, I was a Youth Support Worker and COVID Youth Ambassador, working through the pandemic to provide resources to young people and collaborating with senior public officials, including the Mayor of West Yorkshire, on critical policy reforms. This role nurtured my ability to lead and my drive to make an immediate difference in my community.

Driven by curiosity and a strong academic foundation, I pursued high GCSE and A-Level results in Politics, Economics, and Geography. Now, as a BA Politics student at the University of Leeds, I am expanding my understanding of global frameworks and the dynamics of political influence.

At 19, I became the youngest British-Bangladeshi Councillor, unseating a decade-long incumbent and capturing the attention of national news outlets like BBC News, The Telegraph & Argus, and AsianStandard. In this role, I champion community engagement and policy development, collaborating with local leaders and residents to drive positive change. In addition to my council work, I serve as an Associate at upReach, where I use my communication skills to empower underrepresented groups, furthering my commitment to social mobility and equality.
With a background rich in public service and community-focused achievements, I am ready to bring my skills and experience to your organization. I am eager to contribute to an inclusive, forward-thinking team, leveraging my passion for social justice, strategic insight, and leadership experience to help achieve impactful results.
